Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve night was spent with the Shamo clan. There was plenty of food and plenty of people. We played our white elephant game(although it's not really white elephant)with I think 24 people. Poor Darrin, by the time his number was up, many of the gifts had already been stolen the maximum amount leaving him with limited options. Some of the popular gifts were: vortex cannon (slightly used by Darrin) remote control helicopter (that actually flies), and shocker game(that gives players an actual painful electric shock).

P.S. in case anyone was wondering, a vortex cannon is basically a canister with an elastic covering that when snapped shoots a solid blast of air that can be felt from a distance- My siblings and I used to play with them at the Eyring Science Center on BYU's campus when we were kids.

Christmas at Our House

We spent Christmas Eve and Day at my parents house so we decided to have our own Christmas at our house earlier on Christmas Eve. Here are a couple pics of the day. Notice Lincoln's favorite "toy" is the orange that was in his stocking. I just had to take this picture because there is an identical one of me when I was about his age at Christmas time.

Peyton's Birthday

(Zach and Tammi battling it out)

We celebrated Lincon's cousin, Peyton's Birthday at Pump It Up! today. It's just a big warehouse with two different rooms full of big blow-up bounce house type structures. It was so fun! When we got there, Lincoln was still asleep so Zach and I got to go play. Just our family was there because Jamie had reserved it so we had free reign over the place. They had some awesome obstacle courses and slides. We started timing ourselves to see who could climb up to the top and slide down the fastest. I felt just like a kid again. In fact, I think that the adults had possibly more fun than any of the kids did. After play time- we went in and celebrated Peyton's Birthday with pizza, cake and presents. It was so fun! Thanks Jamie and Brandon!

Christmas at the Hills'

Last weekend (Dec. 15 & 16) was Christmas for the Hills'. We went to Logandale and had a huge Christmas Dinner complete with Turkey, homemade stuffing, rolls, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, etc.--so yummy! Then we watched as all the cousins opened their presents from Grandma and Grandpa Hills. Lincoln wasn't sure what to do with his, he was too distracted with how all his cousins were playing with their presents. After the kids had some fun somebody yelled out "How 'bout the kids all go downstairs and watch a movie?" To which Heston(one of Lincoln's cousins) yelled out as well "Yay- downstairs!" And led the whole pack of kids downstairs in one big mob. That kid is so funny! That left the adults(and three babies) alone to play our white elephant game. I'd have to say that I think Zach, Lincoln, and I ended up with the best gifts by far. Two of them were from Zach's mom. We got some unused TP, paper towels, soap, tennis balls, honey, and a chocolate bar in one bag, a set of drill bits, and a set of knives--(Lincoln picked that one). It was about the funniest white elephant party I've ever been to. What a fun time!
