Time Flies Like an Arrow

Lincoln has been growing a lot lately. He's been getting used to being on his tummy, learning how to scoot around (albeit backwards) and getting teeth! He started sitting up about 2 1/2 months ago, then about a month ago he started tolerating being on his tummy. I say tolerate because he used to hate it! Now, he'll pull himself onto his tummy quite often. At that same time, he started rolling over and now rolls over pretty well whenever he wants to. Then last Saturday, he had a fever and wanted to sleep a ton. We figured it had to be teething and sure enough, yesterday we discovered a tooth poking up. Teething has been a miserable experience for this poor kid. I am not looking forward to this experience for all the rest of his teeth- maybe some will be better than others. We haven't been able to get a picture of his tooth yet because it's enough of a struggle to get him to let us feel the tooth, let alone take a picture. Maybe teeth pictures will be forthcoming, but for now you'll have to take our word for it.

New Addition to the Hills Family

I am proud to present the newest member of the Hills' Family. She is a 2008 Honda Accord EX, adopted on the evening of Dec. 31, 2007. Nikki finally was able to talk me into making the step up. We feel very spoiled. I believe the most difficult decision to make was that of the color...we opted for grey with black interior...yes I did type black. I hope we do not have any regrets. Lincoln also likes the new ride, as depicted in the last photo. Can you imagine a post without Lincoln in it. I think that would be impossible.

Ok, so back to the new addition...a few of the specs. include the following:

2.4 liter 4-cylinder
190- horsepower V-tech engine
162 ft-lbs of torque
5 speed automatic
Heated side mirrors
Power driver's seat
Brake assist
17-inch alloy wheels
6-disc CD changer
Engine oil life reading
Chrome tip exhaust
Moonroof
Power remote door locks, windows and moonroof from key

Should you have any additional questions, please contact me. I would be delighted to discuss other important details...ie weight, length, personality, etc.

Christmas Day

I know it was a while ago, but I'm trying to keep things in chronological order so I'm posting this anyway.
Christmas morning was spent at the Shamo side of the family. After a rough night in which Lincoln struggled sleeping somewhere besides his own room, we joined everyone in the family room to watch presents being opened.(The picture above shows both tired Lincoln and tired Dad) Then the rest of the day was spent relaxing and preparing for Christmas Dinner. Lincoln's favorite toy of the day was indeed a toy. It was a fancy ball that flashes and has balls inside that move. We also had a lot of fun watching Wyatt(Lincoln's cousin) figure out what was going on that morning. In one picture, instead of going in to see what Santa brought, he decides he wants to go outside, or sit down and eat breakfast.
