Busy Spring

I love spring! The weather has been great and we've been spending a lot of time outdoors these days.
It's been a while since I've posted a blog and I've been meaning to get around to it for a while- but just haven't yet. So....here's what's new with us.
About the first weekend in March, Lincoln started crawling and now he's into everything (of course). He's so much happier because I can put him down and he can either follow me wherever I go, or he can go get into something new. His favorite things to play with are drawers, and standing lamps. Lincoln also has two new teeth, maybe three and receiving these were far less traumatic than the first two were. Right now Lincoln is battling either allergies or a cold- I can't decide which.

Also, since the weather is so beautiful, we've been taking a lot of walks and picnics. We went up to a park by Jamie's house last week. It's great because when I was a career woman all the seasons would fly by so fast. I remember thinking to myself on beautiful spring days that someday, when I was a stay-at-home mom, I would make sure to go out and enjoy the beautiful spring weather while it lasted- so all of these walks and picnics are me fulfilling that promise to myself.

This last picture is pretty random- but I love pictures of Lincoln with his dad. Zach is so good at putting this little boy to sleep. He puts Lincoln to sleep every Sunday in sacrament, without having to leave the chapel. This picture is what I found one night after coming home from choir.

Two Years Ago...

Snow was falling, it was freezing outside and Zach and I were getting married! Today is a gorgeous sunny day with only wispy clouds. This is the weather we were supposed to have- but, no regrets. It was a beautiful day and a beautiful wedding and I have to say these past two years have been just as beautiful- if not more so. I married the perfect man for me!
The picture above was actually taken on our wedding day and yes, I am freezing with no jacket on-notice our red noses.

Stroller Posse

Now that Jamie (my sister) is a stay-home mom too, we(all the Shamo women that live in the Las Vegas valley) are getting together more often. It's pretty fun. For the last couple of Wednesdays, we've been getting together for walks. We've also just started a temple group that takes place once a month on the 1st Tuesday of the month and a cannery group for the 3rd Tuesday of the month. We take turns babysitting by two's while the others go the the temple or cannery. It's been so nice because it gives us all a little more freedom.
