All this past weekend I've been kicking myself(not really) for forgetting to bring my camera with me. It has been absolutely gorgeous weather this past weekend and we got to enjoy it! Last Friday, I went for a walk with Lincoln and our stroller tells the temp and it read 68 degrees. On days like that you just can't stay inside- especially after so many colder days previous to it. Then Saturday, we started the day with Zach going to the priesthood leadership training for the church in the morning while I took care of Lincoln and got ready to teach a piano lesson.
It was a good thing Zach went to the training because 1)it was very good and 2)one of his take-home messages was to spend more time with the family. You see, that afternoon I was going to go and accompany Zach's younger sister while she played the viola at a high-school tournament/recital (I can't remember what it's called). I had planned on going by myself while Zach stayed home with Lincoln and did some homework, which would have meant we would have spent the large portion of the day separated. Instead, Zach decided to come with me, after which we bought sandwiches and had a picnic in the park. You could tell it was one of the first warm weekends in a while because the park was packed with people. Lincoln loved getting out and it was nice to spend a whole day as a family- just playing and relaxing.
I am very thankful for the words of the apostles, prophets and general leaders of the church that council us to put family first- what a great way to live!

I hear you there. Looks like we both really have been enjoying the new weather patterns (check out my blog). What can I say, great minds think alike. We can't wait to see you guys this weekend. Lincoln sure looks like he has changed a lot. Our babies are growing up!
You have a stroller that tells the temperature? That is awesome. It was in the 60's here too on Saturday. We went for a walk and played outside. Lincoln is adorable.
