Suggestions?

When I was a teacher, I learned some valuable life-long lessons. One of which is that every good teacher steals ideas unashamedly. Whenever I was bored with something I was doing, or something wasn't working- I'd just go ask my colleagues or peek in their room and employ the new idea. Generally speaking, most teachers were more than willing to tell their ideas and were flattered if I used them. When I first started teaching, when I'd see a good idea, I'd think-yeah, but that's their idea. I can't use it because it's their idea. What was I thinking?! Well I got over it.

Now really, I know that's not an lesson that only teachers learn, but it's obviously something I needed to learn.

So, I come to you, viewers of this blog, for ideas- now as a mom.
Lincoln is 11 months old and is starting to not really be into baby food(I mean mashed up stuff)BUT he only has 4 teeth. AND, I feel bad for the poor kid because he eats the same things over and over again,(I feel bad because I grew up in a household where my mom didn't really enjoy cooking unless she was cooking some new dish).

Lincoln currently eats a lot of: sweet potatoes, macaroni & cheese, pears, peaches, bananas, potatoes, carrots, cooked peas, and sometimes I'll make him a crock pot meal of chicken, carrots and potatoes and mash it up. He also eats cheerios, cereal, and those puff things they make for babies that are like flavored cheerios.
So my question to all of you is: what more can I feed him?

I realize that this question is a little silly, but I figure I probably ought to ask these silly questions while I'm still considered a new mom and it's okay to look silly and naive.

I start this by saying I'm not a mom or a healthcare professional, so I really know nothing about raising or properly feeding babies. BUT, when Kelsey was a baby my mom would take whatever we were eating and put it in the food processor and mash it for Kelsey. I thought that was a good idea. It definitely saves on buying baby food, too.

Well this is a hard subject for me for many reason, one being that Dallin didn't have teeth until he was 13 months old. But I do remember him getting to that point of not being interested in baby food anymore. I started Dallin on YoBaby, it's baby yogurt, which he still loves! And everyone else tells me that you would be amazed at what babies can eat without teeth. They just gum stuff to death. I don't really know the rules on babies, since mine didn't eat and my family doesn't believe in following rules, but I would give him anything you eat. Bread, hot dogs, lunch meat, lasagna, any noodles, rice, cheese, etc.

Nikki-
You are so funny. You know me; I don't follow hardly any of the rules when it comes to my babies. I feed James whatever we are having. I just think if it tastes good to me then he probably would like it. I just make sure I cut it up so he won't choke. Both my kids always loved meat and they still love meat to this day. I think it is important for them to get the protein. For example...Last night we had corn/peas and chicken cordon bleu. I just cut the chicken up and James was eating as fast as I could cut. Anyhow, I think whatever you do will be fine as long as you keep feeding him. J/K You are a great Mom!
