Look at that Garden!
We made spaghetti sauce and salsa from her tomatoes, onions, green peppers, and peppers. We also used tons of their corn to make some frozen corn. I was so grateful to learn how to bottle vegetables as I had only ever bottled fruits before and the two processes are different.
I'm pretty excited about the outcomes. It was a lot of work, but it was the kind that made you feel good. Jodi and Mom Hills taught me so much!

Then on Friday, Zach, Dad Hills, and Erin came up to join us so we could go on an overnight 4-wheeler ride up the mountains. We left Lincoln with Erin and took off that afternoon. We had an enjoyable ride up to a little town called Koosharem were we checked into this tiny inn with only 4 rooms. We rode up to Fish Lake from there to have dinner because the little cafe across the street was closed due to the owner's daughter having a volleyball game that night. The next morning we ate at the little cafe (which was actually less expensive and better tasting than the lodge at Fish Lake) and began exploring the mountain. We visited several lakes and generally just rode around enjoying the beautiful mountain scenery. I really enjoyed it, but missed Lincoln a lot and had a really sore bum after all that riding. Even so, it was definitely worth it- what great memories!

Sunday we went to stake conference with Jodi and Chris, then picked more food from their garden to take home as well as some peaches from the neighbor's orchard.
What a great trip! It was not only productive, but a lot of fun as well!

Wow I am super jealous of that garden! Looks like you had a great trip. I love the outdoors too.
WOW! I am jealous! I love going to spend time with the Nielson's. Even better it is always fun to bring home the food they grew. They have an amazing garden. A lot of work but worth it. Maybe one day I will have gardens like them. Can you tell I am a big dreamer?!? :)
This is AWESOME! What a jam-packed trip. Your sister in law has an AMAZING garden. My little city garden produced a total of 3 tomatoes, two of which were stolen by street-squirrels. I love how you married into a four-wheeling family from Moapa.
Looks like you guys had a ton of fun on top of that hard work. I am glad you were able to get out and do something with out the Lincoln before the baby comes. I am shooting for that with Tim before our baby comes. So fun.
Look at you making salsa. Very domestic! Our garden died when we went out of town for two weeks. We came back and everything was all fried from the heat. Sad.
