This is the only known way to get her to sleep on her own at home.
What happened?!? She was such a snoozer to begin with, then she hit 3 1/2 months and decided sleeping during the day was not for her- I guess.
I shouldn't complain too much because it could be a lot worse- she does sleep at night (knock on wood) and every once in a while- with a lot of coaxing- I can get her to sleep during the day. She has yet to fall asleep in her crib on her own (during the day)- even with me being strong enough to let her cry for an hour. Lincoln was never this stubborn when it came to sleeping.
Well, at least she'll fall asleep in her bouncer--it's my last resort. I suppose she just doesn't want to miss anything. If it didn't look so uncomfortable, I'd probably leave her there, but I risk it to put her in her own bed.
The crazy thing about Gwen is that she is such a happy baby other than this weird quirk. She'll smile at anyone and she has a very sweet personality. Oh well, at least I get some good photos as a result of this little quirk of hers.

That is so funny! What a sweet baby you have.
That is hilarious. Sounds like she doesn't want to miss out on a thing! And with a brother like Lincoln, I bet that's exactly the case. :) So cute!
Ugh, the memories. You are describing every single one of my children as babies but they didn't sleep from the first month until about 9 months. I'm so glad that she is happy regardless of whether she naps or not. She is just the cutest thing!
Nikki,
James did the EXACT same thing with his naps when from about 2 to maybe 3 or 4 months. Slept GREAT at night and went to sleep well by himself...but during the day-- I had to put him in the swing so he could at least get a 1/2 hour or MAYBE hour nap. If it helps at all-- this was just a phase that he grew out of. Also, my friend has a baby boy that did the exact thing and she was all worried-- I told her my story and, sure enough, her baby has now grown out of it. I think the most important thing is that they can get to sleep by themselves at night, or if they wake up at night.
