(cool bruise huh!--he got it from one of his many falls, but this one looks more like a tattoo than a bruise)
Yep, he's two and he's normal. Meaning, he has hit what is called the terrible two's. We can definitely see him making more of an attempt to assert his independence and figure out just where the boundaries are in this household. We also see more of a super-fun personality in him.
He still loves four-wheeling more than anything else. In April Zach took him on a 200 mile four-wheeler ride with his parents and grandparents and he loved every minute of it-never complaining once in spite of cold weather and rain (I'm told).
He's speaking a lot more--it's so nice to be able to communicate with him a little more. He pronounces his own name as "ni-na" and his sister is "men".
He still also loves balls in any form and bikes. The other day he had a little collision with the transformer outside our house because he was looking at the "bike cycle" (motor-scooter) across the street rather than where he was going.
He loves his sister and the feeling is mutual. Some mornings he'll wake up and ask first for his "baby sitter" (baby sister) She breaks into a huge grin when she sees him and every once in a while he'll make her laugh in a way I can't get her to by playing a form of peek-a-boo.
He likes playing "ring around the rosie" and loves being rocked before his bedtime by his daddy.
We love our little guy!

Your children are so sweet! Good luck with age 2
I totally understand the terrible twos. Aiden decided he wanted to be normal and have the terrible twos, unlike Will who lasted until he was 3, and then it REALLY hit. Your children are so sweet. And that bruise. Cool...
Happy Birthday Lincoln. I love you so much. You are my little buddy just like your Dad was my little buddy. It is so fun to have you in our family. I look forward to lots of fun 4 wheeler rides and bike rides with you.
You have beautiful children, Nikki! You are in a fun stage with him. Even with the terrible two's part, I just love this stage of children.
I can't believe you have a 2-year-old! He's so cute (and so is Gwen)!
I just thought I'd let you know that I'm going to be making my blog private pretty soon. If you want an invite, just leave a comment with your email. Or you can email me (my email address is listed on my most recent post). :-)
Gwen is so, so pretty!
