Piano Recital

December was such a busy month!  I know it is for everyone and every year I try to ease items off of my plate.  One thing I attempted, was holding my student's piano recital in November, instead of December this year.  This was to alleviate some of the stress for myself and the families of those I teach.  Because of the increase in number of students, I decided to hold a students-only recital at my home, then promising a family and friends recital in the spring.
My home was packed with students on the night of the recital and I think everyone played very well!

Then in December, I signed up just a few students to play at the Springs Preserve (a local attraction) for a play-a-thon.  That was also a positive experience.  The students had a chance to play in front of visitors to the park.  It was a great venue, if a little cold.
