Every March brings Junior Festival! It's an opportunity for my piano students to prepare, memorize, then play a song to be adjudicated. It takes place at UNLV and this year Lincoln AND Gwen participated. They prepare so well! Lincoln's songs were titled Bamboo Forest and Jumpin' Jazz Cat. Gwen's were Spooky Secret and Sailing in the Sun. They had those songs DOWN, and the judges thought so too as they gave them both Superior ratings. I was so proud of them. It's pretty scary to play for a judge, but they did it!
Afterwards, we headed straight out to Logandale and they enjoyed a nap after all the stress on their nerves.
