A South Paw?

Ever since Lincoln has been old enough to hold anything, one of his favorite toys has been a pen or pencil. I'd always thought, well if he ever ends up being an artist or author I can tell him how he loved the pen even as baby. Then, the other day I noticed that when I handed the pencil to his right hand, he would hold it awkwardly until finally switching it to his left hand, in which he held it almost perfectly. So... I guess he is probably left-handed and thus more likely to be more creative than both his mom and dad. He seems to really enjoy watching the pencil make its mark on paper. I suppose that means I'll have to lock the office door now since it houses all my permanent markers, crayons, markers, pens etc. that I have left over in abundance from my teaching days. I can just see him being so fascinated with the effect of these drawing utensils on all mediums (walls, floors, couch cushions, etc.) It's just fun to see this little personality emerge.

That is amazing! I have tried to get Emery to color or draw but all she does it eat the crayons. When I try to show her how to color she just looks at me like "Mom, I was eating that!" Now isn't that funny, you would think that a child coming from two artistic parents would be artistic as well. Just goes to show we all have are own spirits and talents! That would be awesome if he is a lefty! I must say I am a little partial to leftys because I am a lefty myself. Cute boy!

That is awesome that he has such great control at such a young age. Lefty's are suppose to be smarter because they use both sides of their brain, at least that is what Jon tells me since he's a lefty also. He's such a cute kid.
