Last night we returned from our family vacation. We spent the last six days in Newport Beach. It was great to spend time together as a family in that beautiful weather. We stayed with Mom and Dad Shamo in one of their time share villas. Saturday and Sunday we watched conference on the internet that Dad Shamo hooked up to the TV. We also toured the villa complex and visited Laguna Beach. At Laguna we walked along the beach, explored some tide pools and watched some people playing beach volleyball. Monday we took Lincoln out to Crystal Cove Beach to let him explore just what beach sand is. He, of course, had to taste it and consumed quite a bit. At one point he shoved his face into the sand and came up with a mouthful of sand. He decided at this point that he didn't like the sand anymore.
Then Tuesday we visited Laguna Beach and just enjoyed the sand and the sound of the waves crashing on the beach. It was very relaxing. Tuesday night Rick came down to spend some time with us since Janae and Wyatt were still up in Utah- it was good to see him.
Wednesday was the day we left, but not without visiting one of the homes Zach lived in, in Brea. Zach was sure his old neighborhood would be run down and ghetto-ish, but it turned out to be a very nice neighborhood.
All in all, it was so nice to get out of town- it's definitely something we should do more often.

Wow! Looks like you had a blast in Cali. I am so happy you got a picture of our old Brea house. When I first looked at the picture...I didn't recognize the house. Then I remembered the front yard and, catching all the nasty snails. For some reason I didn't remember it being a 3 car garage. Thanks for the memory. :)
Sorry Nikki for causing any problems last night. As you probably know by now I like to give my older brother a hard time most of the time. I know he can take it. I got a lot of crap from him growing up. With me being just younger than him...I think for some reason he thought he need to make me tough. I think it worked (with him anyway). I guess I need to be more mindful of his sweet wife. You're awesome, and I love that Zach is always so happy all the time. :)

Don't worry about it- Zach wasn't really in a lot of trouble with me- he' just likes to tease me and you too. No harm done- really. Thanks for being so fun- we both get such a kick out of you.
