Last Friday we dropped the kids off with Grandma Hills while we attended the graveside for my visiting teachee's husband's funeral. His graveside was held at the St. Thomas cemetery. St. Thomas is actually a few miles away from the cemetery because it was covered in water when Hoover Dam was built. It's exposed now since the water has receded so much, but years ago, when the dam was built the city was warned that it would be flooded and the cemetery was moved up on a hill next to Overton. This man was born there, but only lived there for the first 4 years of his life. But, since he was born there he and all of his family are buried in the St. Thomas cemetery. It was a pretty cool piece of history to learn about. It was a beautiful service and I'm glad I went. Zach took the day off of work so he could go also and after the service we went to a little restaurant in Overton for date- it's always nice to be able to go on a date with my husband. Then we went back to Zach's parents and went on a little four-wheel ride to round off the beautiful day. Thanks Mom and Dad Hills for watching the kids!
Lincoln has learned how to turn many of the four-wheeler's on. It's amazing how he seems to have come genetically wired to love and understand mechanical things. He just LOVES the four-wheeler-it's such an innate thing for him.

He also had a chance to say hi to the goats and feed the horse.
