While we missed being up in Pine Valley, there were some definite perks with staying home. We were able to put both kids down for their naps during the afternoon sessions of conference, something that might have been more difficult up in Pine Valley. And, needless to say, it was much easier to enjoy conference when the kids were sleeping.
Then, Sunday, Lincoln had some sort of flu bug or food poisoning. And, as any mom will tell you, it's much better to be home with a sick kid, than anywhere else.
Although, a sort-of side blessing of his being sick was that he was out of commission for both sessions of conference which allowed us to again enjoy the messages free from too many distractions. What made it even better was that right after conference was over, he started feeling better and by the end of the day, he was back up on his feet. If he were a teenager, we might have been a little suspicious of his convenient illness.
The messages were wonderful and it seemed like over and over, Zach and I would look at each other and say, we have to listen to/read that one again!
Lincoln on the floor. Gwen couldn't stay away from big brother. Poor guy :(

It is nice to be home when little ones are sick. For some reason, things that are familar help the little ones feel better. Glad you were able to watch conference. It was great.
Could your children be more precious? I don't think so. Love looking at your blog!
