When the birthday boy was asked what he wanted for breakfast-his reply? Plums--why not? Gwen downed hers-pit and all (It's okay- I googled it and all was well) Lincoln saved his for savoring later.
Don't worry- they ate more than just plums- I'm not that liberal of a parent.

"Happy Birthday to You!" Lincoln was more a fan of "driving" his four-wheeler on his cake than eating the cake. I caught him sitting on the counter doing so not long after finishing the decorating of the cake.

Saying goodbye to a great sewing friend(her kids at least--we were both taking the picture of the kids at the same time and I'm kicking myself for not getting a pic with her)-- A little note on this one--I think it was one of the best things I did all year to ask her to teach me how to sew. She's one of those friends I could really relate to. I'm sad to see her go, but also excited for her as they finally settle down in Utah!
