Lincoln's First Day of School!
Such a big day! Lincoln started Kindergarten and it was great! He is going to a nearby charter school and I think it is a perfect fit for him and us! The school we are zoned for only offers full-day kindergarten, something I didn't think Lincoln was quite ready for. So, when this opportunity opened up, we took it!
I walked him to his playground and he stood quietly by my side until the bell rang. When it was time to line up, he did it with no problem or tears. I was very happy about this! He walked into class and seemed to forget all about me! I had to call to get his attention to snap a photo of him sitting in his seat. He happens to be in the same class, and seated next to a girl we regularly have play dates with so this may have helped his transition a bit. Every day since has been just as easy. He doesn't say too much about his day without a fair amount of probing from me, but I can tell he likes it by the few comments I do get out of him.
I'm really excited for him as school was always something very positive for me. Some have asked me why I don't homeschool and I think that's the main reason. I loved going to school and don't want my children to miss out! So far, it's the right decision for us!

WOW! I can't believe Lincoln is in school now! What sweet pictures of his first day. I have also loved getting caught up on the last few months for your family. Did I see that baby #4 is on its way?! So exciting. Miss you guys, and loved seeing your updates.
