Summer Fun 2013

Summer came and went way too fast!  At the beginning of the Summer, Lincoln said one poignant prayer over a meal:  "Heavenly Father, please bless that 3 months will seem like a long time."  We didn't have any vacations planned so I was only slightly concerned about having four kids to entertain, but I didn't need to be at all!  The kids played so well and we had such a good time together that at the end I didn't want school to start up again! 
What did we do? 
Play-dates at the water park
trips to the library
lots of playing outside
staying up late almost every night
pulling ideas from our "fun jar" (a jar full of different activity ideas)
swim lessons
a quick trip to Pine Valley where Lincoln nonchalantly caught his first fish, by himself (without telling anyone until after he had reeled it in.) 
Spending time with seldom-seen cousins when Janae came to visit. 
Enjoyed monsoon-season storms.
It was too much fun and too short!
