Fourth of July:
Zach and I forgot the camera and were therefore unable to get any pics of the day but- we had a great day! We woke up early to attend a flag raising ceremony and breakfast held by our ward. Then we went out and ran some errands, which was kind of hard to do since many things were closed as it was a holiday. Then we headed out to Boulder City for a BBQ with the fam. We had tons of great food, Zach got to play a little rock band (the only X-box game he's into), there was a rather long and big round of croquet which was won by the birthday boy (my brother Darrin) and we watched some great fireworks which Lincoln fell asleep through. We were exhausted but happy when we finally made it home.
The pictures in this blog obviously have nothing to do with Independence Day, but they're what we've been doing since then.

Lincoln tried out his pool and didn't seem to be much of a fan of it. You can see the scowl on his face, then him climbing out of the pool. However, since then, he's acquired a love of the water, particularly the hose as I've been trying to rescue our lawn with some handwatering.

We've also put Lincoln to work. We have a huge Mesquite bean tree in our front yard that drops bucket loads of beans each year. One day I started picking them up and Lincoln started copying me. I thought it was great, until he decided he wanted to put rocks in the bucket as well(our landscape rocks). Anyhow, we got a little good work out of him.

And last, we've finally decided to start telling people, other than our family of course, that we're pregnant again. I realize this probably deserves it's own post, but this way only the most dedicated readers of our blog will know 1st. Anyhow, I'm out of the first trimester (yea!) and starting to feel good and have my energy back. It's amazing, the second trimester is sooooooooooo much better than the first- I'm finally able to get more things done around the house and I don't feel like I have to constantly have something in my mouth to keep the nausea away.
I'm about 15-16 weeks along and will therefore be due the first part of January. That means Lincoln and this little one will be right around 18 months apart. We're excited, nervous(only because Lincoln is still quite young), but excited.

Congratulations!!! I can't believe you keep it quiet for so long. Are you going to find out what you are having? We are so excited for you guys!!
Lincoln looks great and congratulations on your wonderful news! I would also be nervous to have them that close, but one of my friends suggests 18 months apart and then 3 years. We'll be spacing at least 2 years if it all goes as planned.
I completely agree with this being used as a journal type thing -- although I am still trying to get caught up from all our fun family outings! (I'm sure you know that I took pictures on the 4th, and they are labeled - so feel free to grab them off my .mac account)
Thanks Steph, I'll have to do that. I've seen what you have on there- it's so great that you take so many great pictures!
Congrats! That's really exciting. Matt and I are 16 months apart, and I don't know how my mom did it, but I know it was a blast for me and Matt.
