Our Growing Family--February- June 2014

Just some pictures and captions....
Nyle decided he wanted to get in this cabinet, got stuck, but wouldn't let me pull him out.  I just had to pull out the camera and chuckle!

Winters are great here- we spend a lot of time at our nearby lizard park.

I call him my beautiful baby- look at those long lashes!

On a beautiful March Saturday we took our kids on the Railroad Tunnels Hike near BC.

After the hike, we stopped at Hemenway Park to enjoy the beautiful weather and watch the Bighorn Sheep.  I got tackled by the kids-  I'm glad they like me!
They like Zach too!  Some nights, if they get their room clean, Zach will wrestle with them.  Each child gets to make a rule -such as no tickling, no crying, no using your feet (Zach's been known to pin Lincoln with just his feet-then tease him about it).  Nyle's even begun to get in on the action.

Gwen got a haircut- she decided to cut her own hair so I had to finish it.  When I questioned her on why she cut her own hair she defensively exclaimed- "If you hadn't left the scissors out, I wouldn't have!"  I told her maybe I should just leave them out more and see what she ended up doing. ;)
My Birthday- yet another year and life has been so good to me!  I have 4 beautiful kids- a wonderful husband--everything a person could ask for!

Sweet Gwen decided to leave me a present on my night stand.  I find my kids doing this often.  The note reads "Dear Mom, I no that this is not a grat prezont but I want to say that I love you."  --Not bad for a girl who hasn't even gone to Kindergarten yet!

These boys melt my heart!

All of my kids have done this at one point and I think it's sooo cute!

Look at that goose egg!  It scared me a bit!

Just trying to be independent.

Silly Nyle, while I was babysitting a little baby when he was about 16 months old, he saw her sucking on a pacifier and decided he wanted to try it.  Because none of my kids have ever been much into them, including him previously, I let him have one of the ones we had in our baby box.  He decided he liked it and has been using one ever since.  Who knew?

Early one hot day in late May, Lincoln woke up in our cold swamper-cooler cooled home thinking it was freezing outside because it was so cold inside.  He came out dressed like this for school.  I made him go outside to get a more accurate idea of the temperature for the day, after which he came back inside and changed into shorts and just his school shirt.

Gwen warming up outside because the house is so cool.

Lincoln's Peregrine Falcon diorama.  He had a lot of fun researching these birds for his school project.

FHE shenanigans!

Though we're not big baseball fans, our friends invited us to a game so we thought we'd take them up on the offer.  It was actually pretty fun for all of us!
We took a free Saturday and visited Zach's parents in Mesquite.  They always have something fun for kids.  Ned decided he wanted to hold a fish, so of course, Grandpa let him!

Lincoln got to hold the Desert Iguana

And Gwen was able to hold Charlie the Cockateel

Playing in Grandmas tub

A classic Summer picture- puddle jumper, goggles, and snow cone stained mouth.

Memorial Day at Darrin and Tiffany's

Lincoln and Mrs. Ter Avest-- a great teacher!

Snake Pool time!

Nyle's 2nd haircut.  He's so good during his haircuts- actually even better than both Lincoln and Ned. He just sits quietly the whole time.
