I absolutely love Summer! I know it's blazing hot here, but I grew up here so I can handle it. I've discovered that schedules are the way to go with 4 kids. Every morning after we eat breakfast we complete a chore, then work on some school skills (Lincoln, Gwen and Ned). After that we go on some sort of outing...visiting a different park, the library, a walk, something out of the house. Then we return and have lunch, reading time, movie time(when I can get some things done like make dinner or do some planning, or take a nap). After movie time, Lincoln works on his online math program (ST math or as he refers to it: Jiji), then we practice the piano, followed by an activity we chose from our Summer Fun Jar. These consist of activities like making a sidewalk chalk garden, making geometric shapes from marshmallows and toothpicks, washing the matchbox cars in suds, making unique paper airplanes, or playing some sort of game. It's a schedule that works for us- the kids actually seem to thrive on it.

| Washing the matchbox cars- Lincoln took this one seriously- acting much like his father in his meticulous cleaning. Ned and Gwen eventually dissolved into a full on water fight. |
| Practicing some fine motor skills- this was more for Nyle, but the other kids really wanted to do it too, so more power to them! |
| He found a puddle! |
| Visiting a park- Ned's beginning to learn how to ride the "strider bike". |
