(Raymond) West Hills is Born!

Baby West, as he has come to be known, entered the world on March 17, 2015.  He was induced to come as the doctor was a little worried he would be too big if left to his own timing.  That proved not to be the case at all; he was 7 lbs. 10oz.  Exactly in the middle of my children in regards to size.  When I went into the hospital a day before my due date, I wasn't dilated at all and was thus given Cervidol for 12 hours.  At the end of the 12 hours, I was in labor.  I found it most comfortable to be up on my hands and knees so the monitor on my tummy wasn't getting an accurate reading of how intense my contractions were.  I thought they were coming along pretty regularly and intensely, but they looked like hardly anything was happening (to Zach, who was monitoring them).  When the nurse forced me to turn around so they could get a good reading, I felt pretty validated when monitor started indicating their true size.   I soon got the epidural, which slowed me down and made me extra sleepy, as always, and a few hours later, West was born!

He is named after my grandfather Rhees (Raymond) and Zach's great-grandfather Hills (West).  He's a mega-momma's boy and always has been.  We all just adore this little precious so much!
