| Lincoln’s friend, Cael, came to help us move some things in the kitchen so we invited him to stay for Ned’s birthday dinner. |

| This light-up soccer ball was one of Ned’s gifts. He loves soccer and we just happen to live behind a soccer golf course! |
Things we love about 13-year-old Ned:
Ned has to be the sweetest 7th grader on the planet! He’s turning into a teenager for sure, but he is still humble, willing and wanting to learn from his teachers and parents and very considerate.
His younger brothers still adore him because he is so good to them. He’s a great friend to them and they get along so well! Lincoln has on occasion called Ned their master.😂
Ned is a hard working student! He gets straight A’s, of course, and is always willing to self-advocate. He is not afraid to ask clarifying questions and what he can do to improve.
Ned is a good friend, he has a number of friends from his soccer team…from all the grades. Whenever I see him interacting with his friends, it’s clear they all like him…probably for his easygoing manner.
Ned is an athlete. He loves being active! He has great hand-eye coordination. He’s a natural swimmer with amazing form, even though he’s never had a formal lesson. He’s ambidextrous so that makes him very formidable on the tennis court or ping pong table. He works super hard on his soccer skills as that’s his favorite sport.
Ned also has a great ear! He plays the cello and has performed numerous musical numbers on the cello. He also seems to be enjoying the piano more. He recently told me “I can’t believe I used to hate playing the piano, now it’s something fun to do in my spare time!” He’s really getting quite good at it!
We love our teenage Ned!
