Gwen turned 14! We surprised her with some finishing touches in her room, particularly a nightstand and a chair, something she'd been begging for a while. She loves her chair for reading and lounging with her friends.
I always love the gifts her siblings come up with. Ned made Gwen a gift and Nyle serenaded her with a song on the piano. Her friend Emma, who's pretty much like family, joined in the evening celebration as well.
Some great things about 14-year-old Gwen:
- She has adjusted very well to in-person Middle School. She performs so well, school is really something she's good at.
- She continues to enjoy music- singing in choir and playing the piano and was recently invited to lead the music in Sacrament meeting.
- She loves hanging out with her 3 best friends--They're often at our house and Zach loves to call them "squirrelys"
- She's good at setting goals and has set such goals as helping me with this blog, completing her music theory books, and scoring about 95% in all of her classes.
