Lincoln's Birthday, Kolob, and Boy's Weekend

Lincoln turned 15!  This kid is growing up and making lots of his own choices.  His hair, for one.  He's going for the long and messy look.  Zach calls it the "rolled-out-of-a-trash-can" look.  Lincoln is also growing vertically!
This year he scored a new helmet for his electric bike that he rides all over the neighborhood with his friends and some ACT prep gear.
Some things we love about 15-year-old Lincoln:
  • He loves to snuggle--West, a stuffed animal named Bamboo, just not his mother!
  • He's always out with his friends in the neighborhood.  They love to hang out at the gym, the pool, the restaurant inside the neighborhood, the parks around.  I love that they have places to be together and that I don't have to drive him around to be with his friends.
  • He's getting ready for a second season of tennis.  As always, he loves anything with balls and wheels.
  • He's super excited about getting his driver's permit this year.
  • We sure love this kid!

Zach's parents had a summer calling to be the camp hosts for one of the church's campsites.  We decided to go up and visit them and escape the heat.

While Gwen and I were at Girl's camp, Zach took the boys out for a great weekend.  They visited Hoover Dam

Went to the movies to watch Top Gun Maverick

Went to the high dive at the indoor pool

And played together!
