I deserved this--after Lincoln slept in and I couldn't stop laughing, I ended up taking a slip and tumble into the water as well.

These beautiful blooming Arnica flowers were everywhere in Flagstaff!

Darrin and Tiffany opened their lodge to family during Labor Day weekend.  It was such a great get-away.  At Labor Day, we're always ready for another reprieve from the heat.  We started our trip at Slide Rock.  After taking the Young Women there in June, I knew my boys would love it so we went back.  Lincoln didn't want to get into the water at all, but he made the mistake of stepping into the water and the rocks are so slippery that he slid all the way in. I was laughing so hard, that I of course had to pull out my phone to take video.  After capturing some good footage, I put my phone safely in the case and promptly slipped into the water as well.  I know I deserved that after laughing at Lincoln.  It just helped me get all the way in.  It was great- we took a turn going down several of the natural rock slides before drying off and heading up to Darrin and Tiffany's.  

While there, we enjoyed good company, amazing food, a few rounds of Frisbee Golf and the gorgeous flowers and weather.
