| We got rain in May! I loved it and this rainbow formed during my morning run so I got to chase it all the way home. |

| Gwen is so funny and smart! We had to photo shop this picture so we could get a photo of her with her Trig-Star tumbler. She's a bit camera-shy. |
Gwen competed in something called the Trig Star Challenge at her school. It is sponsored by National Surveyors. The competition consists of giving students surveying problems. The students are supposed to use Trigonometry to determine given lengths and angles of a site with only limited details provided. Gwen goes to a school that is full of math/science nerds so we were so proud of her when she took First Place at this competition. First place was awarded to the student who completed all the problems in the quickest time frame with the most problems correct. While she wasn't the first one done, she was the first one done with a score of 100%!! Way to go Gwen!! Now Dad is excitedly envisioning a future for her in Engineering;)

Ned made us proud with his $1000 academic athlete scholarship.
|
We feel like the end of the school year is a big pay day! Ned was invited to the 8th grade awards assembly. At the end of the assembly we learned why. Ned was being awarded a $1000 scholarship recognized for his overall academics and athleticism. He's the whole package!
Then a few days later, we attend his athletics assembly he again made us proud when he earned the Bear Athlete award. This was awarded to the student in each sport that exemplified overall athletics, academics, and as his coach said- exhibited qualities of character that exemplified what they hoped all students at the school would have. He said that he witnessed Ned always willing to help others, whether they be himself as the coach, students, staff, or Admin at the school. That especially made me proud.
Seminary Graduation
Lincoln graduated from Seminary! He spoke at his graduation and did a great job. Gwen came to lead the music. I sure love these kids!

| West just hopped up on my classroom windowsill one morning at the end of May so he could get a better look at the field down below. I thought he looked so cute up there! |
 |
| This kid is so amazing. He earned Straight A's, PE Award and Principal's Award because he works hard every day and reminds everyone in the class that learning is joyful! |

| Straight A money! |

| Gwen and Emma were able to go to Bella's birthday party. She wasn't able to have it on her birthday in January due to a horrible car crash that made us all think we might lose her. Through amazing persistence, medical help, and miracles, she's still with us and doing so well! |
