July 2020

We escaped the heat by heading up to Pine Valley.  Zach was able to work from there and the kids kept busy with a few craft projects.

We tried out paper mache, a craft we hadn't yet attempted.  We made this cute piggie bank that Gwen took to her Christmas in July party as a gift exchange.

This year, since Covid caught us all be surprise, Junior Festival was postponed a little.  It took a while for the results to come in, but all three Hills participants received a score of Superior with Ned receiving a score of Superior with Honors.  Lincoln is showing off his trophy for 30 points (6 years of a Superior score).  Gwen is showing off her 15 point trophy (3 years of a Superior score). And Ned is showing off his Honors Medal.

Zach is working on his paper mache airplane form.

This is a Summer tradition to go to the Westin Hills Park splash pad.

Lincoln's latest project: A Go-Kart procured from generous Dallas and Tim.  He stripped the entire thing and repainted it black, put a new engine and made a few other modifications and then sold it.
