Wow! September was a busy month for us. Yes, school was in session, but since it was virtual, we had nothing tying us to our home so....
We explored some very cool hikes at Pine Valley this year. We just didn't take our swimsuits.
Zach was ripping up bad boards from the deck and replacing them with newer ones. Lincoln and Ned were a big help!
Newport Coast! Such an amazing vacation! We enjoyed spending time with Tammi and Kevin and their adorable kids.
| Gwen and Olivia (AKA Gwen and mini-Gwen) They have quite a bit in common. |
The kids had so much fun boogie boarding. They really got the hang of it and were out in the waves almost non-stop!
| I even did a bit of boogie-boarding. So fun! |
Gwen is usually my indoor-girl, but she was out in those waves a ton and I think she really enjoyed herself!
| Cute West! Figuring out how to boogie-board |
| Lincoln may have been tossed a little by those waves. |
| My Dad enjoyed a beach nap. Nothing like being lulled to sleep by the sound of crashing waves. |
We kept this trip simple. We were just there for a few days and only visited the beach, but it was enough. The beach is the best playground!
| Our neighbor rented this for a Disney themed birthday party and invited us. I guess if you can't go to Disney for you birthday because it's closed due to Covid-19, then you bring Disney to you? |
| One more trip out on the lake, we are becoming quite the fans of the lake. |
| Random Sunday fun...with President Nelson! |
| The kids taught the Come Follow Me lessons to us this particular Sunday |
| Lincoln's latest project: a mini-bike. We had to drive down to the hood to get it and in no time, he had it repainted and ready to sell. |
| No, not at the beach, just at the sandbox inside our neighborhood. The boys had fun burying Nyle. Perhaps they were missing the beach. |
September was also a month for a visit from our friend Aaron Zockoll, and some home improvement projects as well as more Lake Mead trips. For home improvements, we decided to put some faux beams into the kitchen, and replace the hood over the range. Earlier in August, Zach noticed that our golf net began to unravel so he rented a lift to overhaul the net so it would last longer. He had some fun with that lift as well.
At Lake Mead, we discovered that Jim's boat could pull a kneeboard, which we procured, and even tried wake boarding, which we also procured. The wakeboarding is a little tough, but the boat is great for kneeboarding.
