When West turned 5, we had purchased cookies for him to take to his preschool class for his birthday, only to find out that he wouldn't get to go back to school for his party or celebrate it with any of his friends. This year, I wanted to make it up to him so I threw him a birthday party. Last year his Preschool teachers always said "West is Best!" So I decided to throw a "Best in the West" Birthday party.

Some Things we Love about 6-year old West!
- West is so happy to be back to in-person school! When they put him back in school they had to switch him to another teacher for the Month of March. Then in April, he got to go back to Mrs. Miller. While we enjoyed Ms. Casey, he loves Mrs. Miller and does so well in her class. He is such a good little student. He is so careful with his school work, a lot like Ned, and is diligent about getting it done. When he reads a book, he will learn all the words in a sentence and then re-read the sentence or page so he can read it through fluently before going on to the next one.
- West is very calm and unhurried. He is also quite independent. While working on anything, he is determined to learn and do it himself. If I try to help and do it for him, he'll undo what I did so he can do the entire thing. When he rides bikes home with his brothers, he doesn't race them home, he just goes at his own pace. I hope this will serve him well with not being influenced much by negative peer-pressure in the future.
- West keeps begging me to teach him piano and told me that he needed to start piano lessons now that he is Six!
- West gives the best kisses good night. He still needs to kiss both of my cheeks and then give me a butterfly kiss when I tuck him in. It is so sweet and I hope he never stops!
